At Playdate Preschool, we believe children learn best through play, exploration, and meaningful connection. Our curriculum blends hands-on learning, creative expression, and outdoor adventures to nurture the whole child—socially, emotionally, and academically.
We use a developmentally friendly approach to introduce letters, numbers, shapes, and colors in a way that feels playful and stress-free. Our Handwriting Without Tears program helps children explore early literacy and math through songs, stories, and hands-on activities, setting a strong foundation for learning.
Through painting, music, crafts, and movement, children discover the joy of self-expression. Whether making leaf rubbings from the garden or painting pictures of our chickens, art helps students develop creativity, confidence, and problem-solving skills.
Our preschool setting includes chickens, fruit trees, and garden beds, giving children daily opportunities to connect with nature. They help collect eggs, water plants, observe changing seasons, and taste fruit from our trees, learning about life cycles, responsibility, and where food comes from in a hands-on, memorable way.
We nurture kindness, empathy, and cooperation through group play, problem-solving opportunities, and a loving classroom environment. Our goal is to help children feel safe, seen, and valued as part of a close-knit community.
Children explore science and problem-solving through sensory bins, water tables, building materials, simple experiments, and even baking projects. Whether mixing colors, planting seeds, exploring textures, or following a simple recipe, these hands-on activities spark curiosity, critical thinking, and creativity in age-appropriate ways.
Our days include circle time, small group learning, art, music, farm chores, and outdoor adventures. Children enjoy climbing, running, and exploring while also tending to our garden and animals, creating a balance of movement, learning, and discovery.
At Playdate Preschool, we blend modern, play-based learning with a sense of tradition and respect. Each morning begins with the Grand Old Flag song and the Pledge of Allegiance, giving children a simple, age-appropriate way to learn about community, gratitude, and national pride. We believe in teaching children to respect themselves, others, and the world around them, values that last a lifetime.
Playdate Preschool is a year-round school, and when the traditional school year ends, the fun keeps going with our Playdate Summer Camp!
Summer at Playdate is filled with sunshine, water play, gardening, art projects, and plenty of outdoor adventures. Each week brings a new theme, like Nature Explorers, Farm Life Fun, or Art in the Garden, keeping the learning fresh and exciting while staying true to our play-based approach.
Our Summer Camp gives children the chance to stay connected with friends, explore new interests, and enjoy a relaxed, joy-filled summer while parents have the peace of mind knowing their child is in a safe, nurturing, and familiar environment.
At Playdate Preschool, we believe in creating a strong sense of community and connection for both children and families. We love celebrating holidays in a way that is simple, joyful, and meaningful for our students.
Throughout the year, we focus on the classic celebrations like Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, and Easter, with family parties, crafts, and songs that bring smiles to little faces. These moments help children make memories, share traditions, and feel the excitement of the season while families have the chance to join in and be part of the Playdate community.
